9 – 10 september 2017 • Lyophilised • Chapelle •  Soorts-Hossegor « I’m going to Lapland. Up to Sarek, the land of the Samis. No motorbike. But a rucksack and my Martin as guide. Mot & Arts invites me to exhibit. I take the opportunity to work on travels, play with the ephemeral and what I have at hand. A piece of paper is previous when you’re travelling. What size for the Swedish mountains? What grain for the Scandinavian baths? Which media? Watercolour fits in my bag. My 33L Osprey bag that I have carried for 7 days over 140 km. That has carried our tent and my spare knickers. My bag travels without me. Taking the plane to Rome when I go to Oslo. I draw the tube journey. Munch’s paintings are not going to last for that long. The paint is peeling off on the left hand side. I drink a 49 Norwegian Kroner hot with Valérie. The oat milk has the shape of a stretched out heart. Nearly missed my plane to London. British Airways supports African children and I watch La La Land and I cry. Does life give us a destiny? I am walking. The day after tomorrow, I’ll be home again. In the meantime, my home is my body. All is well. »
